Occasionally throughout the summer as small groups of our congregation take interest, we head out to downtown Fargo, Island Park, the skate board facility or the local fairs to engage people with questions of eternal value. The approaches are individual and range from simply handing out tracks, asking if they have any spiritual beliefs, connecting tragic news events to their eternal destiny or helping them realize that none of us are good persons according to God's standard and deserve God's wrath. Then Jesus is presented as man's only hope of heaven through repentence and forgiveness of sins. Click above to see if you're a good person and don't need Jesus.

Our main training program is "Share Jesus Without Fear" and is offered once a year. Sharing is made easy through 5 questions and 7 verses. Ray Comfort and Mark Cahill material help round out our approach to those who need the Lord by sharing our inability to live by God's standard before we tell of the Good News in Jesus Christ. Mark's first book "One Thing You Can't Do In Heaven" has been very motivational for our church. Click above for "The Way of the Master" website.

Metropolitan was the first church to bring a 5 day HMI Christian Hockey camp to Fargo in 2007. Hockey Ministries International does 30 camps each summer around the world for boys and girls ages 9-17 using former and current pros from the NHL and University levels as coaches. The camp is held at NDSU and the Teamsters Ice Arena in July and is a great tool for evangelism as church youth bring friends for excellent training and a most excellent gospel message. 5 other churches in town have joined us with representatives on our local committee. "Valley Hospitality Impact", started in the fall of 2007, is our International Students emphasis that partners with NDSU to aquaint students with American culture. Host families are required to meet with their student at least once per month for dinner, an activity, games, or even church! Ask them about their spiritual life then share yours. What a great way to be a foreign missionary without leaving town! Applications and information are available online by clicking above and scrolling down to the "Friendship Family Program" host application form or from Pastor Steve.

Each year a time is set aside for either a guest evangelist to minister to believers or an outreach to a targeted group in our city. This year we sponsored a Gas Rebate outreach in August. We distributed materal about our church and the gospel while giving people 25 cents off per gallon of gas. In 2009 we will do another conference in which we hope to motivate christians to share their faith more effectively.
